In November 2021, The Flight Practice Advisory Council explored the question: What is moving you (or your program) forward with Flight? Hearing the strategies and practices sustaining Flight by council member programs was fascinating. It was revealing to learn how council members localized and applied unique approaches. Flight is not a one-size-fits-all, meaning how it looks in practice is unique across programs.

The Flight Practice Advisory Council is made of a diverse group of professionals who work in the Alberta Early Learning and Care sector. Council members are program leaders and practising educators and student educators, who gather three times a year to share their experiences and insights about using Flight. The MacEwan Flight research team gathers the ideas shared, with the goal of understanding the resources needed to sustain Flight.
